TAFTAN: Iranian officials on Sunday deported another 85 illegal Pakistani migrants via the Mirjaveh-Taftan border near the Chagai district.

According to official sources, 38 people from Punjab, 34 from Balochistan, nine from Sindh and four from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were among the deportees, who were handed over to Levies Force officials at the Rahdari Gate in Taftan.

Initial interrogation suggested that the migrants were aiming to reach Turkiye and European countries without legal documents for better livelihood, but they were arrested in different cities in Iran, the sources said.

The detained people were later handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further interrogation and litigation.
