PESHAWAR, Jan 9: Provincial Senior Minister Sirajul Haq has alleged that conspiracies are being hatched to divide the nation by raising the Kalabagh dam issue and damage the spirit of sacrifice and national integrity seen after the October earthquake.

Addressing provincial majlis-i-shoora of the Jamaat-i-Islami at Markaz-i-Islami on Sunday, he said the country had always faced big tragedies under dictatorships.

He alleged that the federal government’s policies were aimed at pleasing the rulers of the United States. He said the federal government was taking steps towards secularism, which was not acceptable to the nation.

He said it was high time to bring an Islamic revolution in the country.

He said circumstances were being created which might result in disintegration of the country.

He said that on one hand rights of provinces were being usurped and on the other hand steps were being taken to make the syllabus secular.

He said tribesmen were being targeted because they had always waged Jihad against imperialism.

He said the government and people of the NWFP were supporting the valiant tribesmen.
