LAHORE: Many cultural institutions have sent their condolence messages on the demise of legendary Zia Mohyeddin.

The Faiz Foundation Trust in its statement says, “It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Zia Mohyeddin, a legendary actor and cultural icon who left an indelible mark on the world of Pakistani arts and entertainment. He was a true visionary who inspired countless artists and captivated audiences with his performances. The Faiz Foundation Trust would like to express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May his memory live on through his incredible contributions to the world of performing arts, and may he rest in peace.”

Shakir Ali Museum, the regional office of Pakistan National Council of Arts, says in its statement, “ Master thespian and Pakistan’s greatest orator, Zia Mohyeddin passes away.

Incharge Shakir Ali museum Lahore Fatima Salman Khan and staff would like to express deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.”

Caretaker Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Amir Mir expressed deep sorrow and regret over the death of the icon.

Amir Mir paid tribute to him for his literary services.
