GUJRAT: The FIA assisted by police raided the local residence of former CM Parvez Elahi on Monday night and combed it thoroughly.

It was the second raid on the same premises during the last one week or so. The earlier raid was conducted by police in search of Wajahat Husain, brother of PML-Q chief Shujaat Husain, wanted in a violence and shooting case. No official returned the calls to give reason for the fresh operation.

In a tweet, former federal minister Moonis Elahi said: “Police , FIA and others again at Kunjah House. They keep raiding without warrants. By raiding our house you think you will make us leave @ImranKhanPTI . Think again.”
