THIS humble man, a super senior citizen aged 82 years, has been a keen student of national affairs since the early days of independence. After studying the pattern of recent election results in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Sindh at different tiers, as well as the latest political developments, one thing is candidly clear; no party is likely to get two-third majority in any provincial or national elections whenever these are held.

It does not matter if they are held after three months or thrice as many, the results are likely to be as per the following two options in order of their likelihood; a hung parliament, or one party achieving simple majority on its own or by forming a coalition with like-minded parties. The option of getting two-third majority by a single party does not exist, practically speaking.

However, there is no bar on wishful thinking. In the next three to six months, much water is likely to pass under the bridge and there will be many surprises that will shape and determine the future. One thing is for sure that whatever may happen, Pakistan will get out of the woods and I see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

However, all those who are trying to harm Pakistan knowingly and unknowingly will meet their Waterloo and ignominy will be their destiny.

The above is the synthesis of my observations of more than 75 years. This humble man has submitted the above scenario just to clear doubts and the wishful thinking of anyone about the performance in general elections. It is submitted as a point to ponder for the readers and political pundits. Only time will prove the correct- ness, or otherwise, of this prediction.
