LAHORE: Known journalist Ashiq Chaudhry died here on Tuesday. He was 82.
According to his son, Fahad Mahmood, Mr Chaudhry had not been well for the last few years.
He was editor of showbiz and culture in daily Jang and Geo TV. He had a career spanning 50 years. He was awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his services in journalism in 2015. He wrote extensively on films, TV, theatre, radio, fashion and music.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed grief over the death of Mr Chaudhry.
