CHARSADDA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz held a protest rally here on Sunday against the desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden.

The protesters reached the Farooq-i-Azam Chowk after passing through various routes, holding placards and chanting slogans against the Swedish authorities.

Addressing the protesters, Maulana Hayatullah, Maqbool Ustaaz, Saleh Shah Bacha, Azim Khan, Aminullah Khaksar, Ihsanullah and others strongly condemned the act, saying they were ready to sacrifice their lives and property for the protection of Holy Quran. They asked the government to immediately sever diplomatic relations with Sweden and expel its envoy. They urged the Muslim Ummah to unite and defeat such conspiracies.

SENTENCED: A court on Sunday awarded 10-year jail to a juvenile for murder.

Tauseef of Ghlo Kallay area had killed Bashir Khan on June 18, 2020 for trying to assault him. The FIR of the case was registered with Tangi police, and the boy was arrested a month after the incident.

Additional Sessions Judge, Tangi, Shah Wali Khan, after completion of arguments from both the sides, pronounced the sentence.
