RAWALPINDI: A lawyer was shot dead by unidentified persons in the limits of Civil Lines police on Monday.

Mohammad Ibrar, a resident of Dheri Hassanabad, lodged an FIR with the police stating that he was going to collect rent from his tenant in a motorcycle when he met his brother Imran Sheikh Advocate who was going to drop his children at their school.

He said he was following his brother’s car when two motorcycle riders suddenly appeared from behind and signaled his brother to stop his car.

He said the pillion rider in the meantime pulled out a gun and shot his brother. Mr Ibrar said he shouted for help to catch the attackers but they sped off and his brother died on the spot.

Rescue 1122 reached the spot and shifted the body to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

According to an initial police report, the deceased suffered four bullet injuries to his skull.
