TAXILA: The bodies of two brothers, who were poisoned to death and later buried in a ditch near their house, were retrieved by police. However, the inhumane way they were brought out has caught the public’s attention.

The deceased were allegedly murdered by their third brother over a property dispute in Bhalot village in the jurisdiction of Bhattar police station.

The deceased were identified as Sajid Khan and Rashid Khan. Later, on the complaint of the victims’ nephew, police dug out the 20-day-old bodies of both the deceased from a ditch. However, the police’s inhumane way of handling the bodies caught the public’s attention after images and footage of it went viral on social media.

A police spokesman said as the bodies were about 20 days old, it was not possible for police to shift them normally. The spokesman claimed that the deceased persons’ brother and his wife were nominated in the double murder case and were arrested.
