GWADAR: The Balochistan government has decided to issue health cards to registered fishermen of Gwadar district and other areas of Makran division, official sources told Dawn.

Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has approved a summary in this regard, the sources added. The initiative will provide health coverage to 89,886 fishermen of Gwadar district.

Officials said that in the first phase, health cards will be issued to the fishermen of Gwadar district while in the second phase, fishermen of Lasbela and Hub districts will receive their cards.
