PESHAWAR: Module validation workshops on enterprise development training for clusters in Khyber district and Peshawar have concluded.

Organised by the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC) and Empowerment through Creative Integration (ECI), a total of four validation workshops were conducted at a local hotel, according to a statement issued here on Sunday.

Stakeholders from Smeda, Tevta, KP-EZDMC, IT Board, KP-BOIT, Bank of Khyber, Small Industrial Development Board (SIDB), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Khyber Chamber of Commerce, Women Chamber of Commerce, Peshawar, and Agriculture Research Institute participated in the workshops.

On this occasion, comprehensive training modules were developed and presented to the relevant stakeholders in validation workshops. Moreover, valuable inputs and suggestions shared by the participants were recorded for incorporation in the training modules.

KPEC is in the process of identifying potential clusters in Peshawar and Khyber and improving their competitiveness vis-a-vis international markets. Based on the diagnostic study and training need assessment, 500 individuals from selected clusters and 30 trainers from KP-Tevta will be trained in enterprise development skills.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the workshops, director general Sustainable Development Unit at P&D, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Khan appreciated the activity and underscored the importance of the inputs of the stakeholders.
