OKARA: Police claimed on Monday to have nabbed two suspects who killed a seven-year-old boy after their call to demand ransom was traced in Garden Town locality.
As per first information report, Hasan Ali on Sunday went to a local shop to purchase some eatables but didn’t return home. The family after a search approached the City B Division police who registered a kidnap case on the complaint of boy’s father Muhammad Abbas.
District Police Officer Furqan Bilal formed a team to recover the boy. At night, Abbas received a call from suspects who demanded ransom for releasing the boy.
The police traced the caller identified as Adeel who happened to be a neighbour of the family and he killed the boy and threw his body in a minor at village 42/3R area.
As the suspect was nabbed, he confessed to killing the boy along with his accomplice Irshad who was also arrested.
The police inserted section 302 with the already registered FIR no 01/23. After autopsy, the boy was laid to rest in city graveyard.
BODY FOUND: After 17 days the missing refrigerator mechanic was found dead at Harappa (Sahiwal) and he was laid to rest at city graveyard on Sunday night.
As per FIR, youth Mushtaq was on his way to his workplace from Bhaianwala Larkana. Near railway crossing no -2 Kirparam factory, he was allegedly taken away by some unidentified men for repairing a refrigerator but Mushtaq did not come back. Mushtaq’s father got a kidnap case registered.
On Sunday night, city police on receiving information from Sahiwal district police, recovered body of Mushtaq from Harappa.
Police have added section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code to the FIR against unidentified suspects.
