Published January 4, 2006

KARACHI, Jan 3: The demolition squad of the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) has deferred demolition activity in the Al-Hilal Cooperative Housing Society after armed persons issued threats to it.

Meanwhile, the KBCA razed an illegal construction on plot No B-3-II in Nazimabad besides demolishing two illegal constructions in blocks I and III of Nazimabad.

In another operation, the KBCA squad sealed an unauthorized CNG filling station on plot No B-1-II in Nazimabad.

An illegal ceiling was razed on the third floor of a building in the Bihar Muslim Cooperative Housing Society, Block 3 in Gulshan-i-Iqbal.

The KBCA has also issued a show cause notice to a project, Livna City, for want of a no objection certificate (NOC) and cautioned the general public to refrain from dealing in the project to avoid losses.—APP
