LAHORE: Pakistan started their campaign at the FIH Men’s Nations Cup on Monday with a 6-2 defeat at the hands of hosts South Africa in Potchefstroom.
According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Hockey Federation, South Africa smashed goals in the ninth, 26th, 28th, 41st, 46th and 57th minutes. For Pakistan, Rooman (14th) and Arshad Liaquat (51st) scored consolation goals.
On Tuesday, the green-shirts in the eight-nation event take on Ireland.
