LAHORE: Eight matches were decided in the qualifying round of the Hassan Tariq Raheem Tennis Championship, which started here at the Lahore Gymkhana on Thursday.

The main round, which will feature 32 participants, is set to commence on Nov 28. The tournament carries a prize purse of Rs1.3 million and will see events in the men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and U-18 boys’ singles categories.

Men’s singles (qualifying round): Omer Shahid Maniya bt Hassan Kamran 8-0; Kashif Rehamt bt Raza Ali 8-1; Inam Gul bt Sikndar Hayat 8-3; Baqir Ali bt Abbas Watoo 8-1; Bilal Asim bt Mussa Haroon 8-2; Hassam Khan bt Hazma Jawad 8-0; Abdullah Adnan bt Tariq Sadiq 6-1; Ahtesham Humayun bt Yahya Mussa Luni 6-0

Boys’ U-18 (qualifying round): Ahtesham Humayun bt Yahya Mussa Luni 6-0.
