Boys clinch top positions in HSSC pre-engineering exam results

KARACHI: After a considerable delay, the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) announced the results for Part-II pre-engineering for the annual examinations of 2022 here on Tuesday.

Syed Hamad Mahmood bin Syed Fazal Mahmood, a student of Adamjee Government College, secured the first position with 1,047 marks out of a total of 1,100. Mohammad Aqib Memon of Commerce College and Ayesha Najeeb of Bahria College were both second with 1,042 marks while Usman Faizyab Khan of Government Degree Science Commerce College Malir Cantt was declared third with 1,039 marks.

Some 1,875 students passed with an ‘A1’ grade, 2,322 students passed with an ‘A’, 2,914 passed with a ‘B’ grade, 3,844 passed with ‘C’, 2,960 passed with ‘D’ and 219 students passed with the ‘E’ grade.

The results were announced by BIEK’s Controller of Exams Engineer Anwar Aleem Rajput Khanzada. This year, overall 58.48 per cent students have passed in pre-engineering second year. He said that this year, 24,587 students registered for the exams of whom 24,168 actually appeared. The number of students who passed is 14,134, bringing up a passing percentage of 58.48 per cent.

The results have also been uploaded on BIEK’s website www.biek.edu.pk. Apart from this, students can also check their results through BIEK’s official App, which can be installed through Google Play Store.
