KOHAT: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Kohat, chairperson Sameena Altaf has said a new code has been issued for making the presence of inspectors in the examination halls obligatory to bring transparency in the conduct of exams.

“The board staff will also conduct raids on exam halls for effective implementation of the code to curb cheating,” she said while addressing a press conference here on Monday.

She said a conducive environment would be provided to students by holding papers in schools that had their own halls and full-fledged laboratories. “The decision has been taken keeping in view the complaints of students.”

Ms Altaf said all new invigilators had been appointed to remove the allegations of accommodating the same old staff repeatedly. She said answer sheets of practicals were not submitted in the past, which would now be required.
