TAXILA: An eight-year-old seminary student survived an attempt on his life as a man tried to slaughter him on his way to his house on Choi Road in the limits of Attock police station on Saturday.

The seminary student identified as Hamza Qayyum while lodging a report with police in district headquarters hospital revealed that he was going to his house from a local seminary.

He said that as he reached a deserted place on Choi road, a man while taking advantage of the dark had captured him and tried to slit him with some sharp object.

However, he received serious injuries and succeeded in freeing himself from his clutches.

Later, some passersby spotted him and informed rescue 1122 which shifted him to hospital.

The victim reported to police that he couldn’t recognise the attacker.

Attock police have registered a case and launched further investigation.
