Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that provincial governments should fulfil their constitutional duty otherwise there would be consequences.

Addressing a press conference, he said that it was the constitutional duty of provincial governments to protect the rights of the people.

“The federal government reminded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab governments about this duty today.”

He also called on the chief justices of the high courts to take notice of the protests, saying that the people causing trouble for citizens would later approach the court for relief.
