SUKKUR: The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has started robotic surgeries at the Chablani Medical Centre (CMC), Sukkur, the second largest health facility of the institute.

Doctors at CMC told the media on Tuesday that eight successful robotic surgeries were performed at this SIUT unit over the last 48 hours.

Patients from Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Ghotki, Kandhkot-Kashmore, Khairpur and some other districts could benefit from the modern technology made available at this SIUT unit, they said.

They pointed out that the SIUT had been providing the relevant healthcare facilities at the CMC for about a decade now and the addition of robotic technology had brought further modernisation in surgeries.

According to them, four robotic surgeries are planned to be performed here daily.
