KARACHI: Exhibition at museum

KARACHI, Dec 24: The National Museum of Pakistan, Karachi, is organising a special exhibition on the occasion of 130th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on Dec 25.

The National Museum has selected a unique and rare collection of personal belongings, relics and other historical documents of the Quaid-i-Azam and freedom movement.

The photographs on display will include unpublished and original group photographs taken on the occasion of marriage ceremony of Miss Maryam N H Jaffar with Nooruddin Hassan Faruqi celebrated at 2-Windsor Palace, New Delhi on April 6, 1947.

Other exhibits on the occasion include original and rare welcome addresses presented to Quaid-i-Azam by various personalities, political and non-political organizations.

The National Museum Karachi has also reorganized its permanent freedom movement gallery which too will be open for public from Dec 25.

The gallery has on display the personal belongings of Quaid-i- Azam, Dr Allama Mohammed Iqbal, Khan Liaquat Ali Khan, rare paintings of Turrab Ali, the renowned painter/artist of Pakistan besides historical documents, photographs and portraits of freedom fighters etc.—APP
