LAHORE: The Punjab Finance Department has granted a huge incentive allowance to the officials posted against non-cadre BS-1 to 22 posts ranging from Rs35,000 to Rs400,000.

The department’s order says the incentive allowance will be given to officials posted against non-cadre posts in projects, programmes, policy units, policy cells, companies, authorities, foundations, funds, commissions, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and administrative departments.

The finance department’s order states that the competent authority, which is the chief minister, has decided that in supersession of Dec 31, 2019 letter, the in-service government servants posted in projects, programmes, policy units, policy cells, companies, authorities, foundations, funds, commissions, PITB and administrative departments against non-cadre posts shall be entitled to the grant of incentive allowance in addition to their admissible salary under respective pay scales with effect from the date a case is considered and recommended by the selection board constituted on Oct 22, 2019.

The revised rates of the incentive allowance applicable from Oct 1 will be: Rs35,000 for BS-01 to 04; Rs50,000 for BS-05 to 10; Rs60,000 for BS-11 to 15; Rs75,000 to Rs150,000 for BS-16; Rs100,000 to Rs175,000 for BS-17; Rs150,000 to Rs225,000 for BS-18; Rs200,000 to Rs275,000 for BS-19; Rs250,000 to Rs300,000 for BS-20; Rs300,000 to Rs350,000 for BS-21 and Rs350,000 to Rs400,000 for BS-21.

The finance department stated that the incentive allowance would be reviewed annually by the “Selection Board” in the light of orders of finance department. In case, executive allowance or any other cadre specific allowance is admissible on a post, then there will be an option to choose either of one.

The finance department has requested all administrative secretaries to ensure implementation of the conditions.
