Four shot dead in Khanewal

LAHORE/TOBA TEK SINGH: Four men were shot dead when they were travelling to attend a court hearing in Khanewal on Monday.

According to police, the victims were travelling by a car when gunmen ambushed them and opened fire on their vehicle near Niazi Chowk, killing all four of them.

The deceased were identified as Zakaullah, Ismail Khan, Majeed and Hidayatullah Khan, residents of Chak 30/10-R, Kacha Khooh.

District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Abid reached the crime scene shortly after the incident.

According to police, the victims were on their way to attend a hearing at the Multan High Court when they were ambushed. Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital.
