Shopkeeper, son tortured

CHINIOT: A shopkeeper and his son were allegedly tortured by another shopkeeper and his accomplices over a petty dispute at Mohallah Ahmadpura on Monday.

Liaqat Ali, the son of Fazal Muhammad, had a meat shop and he exchanged harsh words with another shopkeeper, Hassan Bhutta, a resident of Lahore Road, on a telephone call.

To take revenge, Hassan along with 20-25 unidentified assailants attacked the shop of Liaqat and beat him and his son, Faisal, with rods, sticks, kicks and punches.

They also threw away 40kg chicken and snatched Rs406,000 from him.
