KOHAT: An eleven-member committee headed by the commissioner inland revenue, Kohat, has been constituted to resolve tax-related problems of traders belonging to southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Kohat division commissioner Irfan Aziz on Tuesday. He nominated Misbahuddin as the committee’s secretary, Abdur Rauf Advocate and Hameedullah Khan as tax consultants. They hail from Kohat.

The other members of the committee hail from Hangu, Karak, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu.

The committee would hold meetings with traders and then present them to the Federal Bureau of Revenue through the inland commissioner.

According to a notification, the commissioner reserved the rights to replace, include and expel any member. It was also decided that the first meeting of the committee would be held on October 10.

SEALED: A team comprising additional assistant commissioner-III Saad Munir Khan and drug inspector Irfan Wazir sealed four medical stores after recovery of expired and not-for-sale medicines on Tuesday.

The team visited the Kutcheri Chowk, Behramabad and Bahader Kot to inspect medical stores for compliance with the drug act and laws and rules framed under it.

The expired medicines recovered from medical stores were seized, and cases were registered against the violators.
