DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Ten people were killed when a tractor-trolley carrying members of a nomad tribe and a truck collided in Shambey Zonda area of the Darazinda tribal subdivision here on Monday.

Dera police spokesman Imtiaz Ali Janjua told Dawn that the victims included six women and four men, adding 33 others sustained injuries in the mishap.

As soon as the accident was reported, police and medical teams of Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and started shifting the injured and bodies to Type-D Hospital, Darazinda, he added.

The deceased were identified as Hassan Zai, Sadia Bibi, Paeda Bibi, Saira Bibi, Sanaullah, Samiullah, Hamida Bibi, Sadaf Bibi, Naseema Bibi and Attaullah.

Later, the seriously injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.

Separately, a man was killed when a motorcycle and a car collided on Dera-Zhob Road near Zam Burj area, also in Darazinda area, a rescue official said. The victim, Fazal Deen, 35, was riding the motorcycle. He belonged to Lalu Kot area of Darazinda.

Meanwhile, two people were killed over an old enmity on Paharpur Bypass on Monday, the police said.

The victims were identified as Sharbat Khan, 34, and Faizur Rehman, residents of Kacha Mallikhel area. The bodies were shifted to Paharpur hospital. The police registered a case and started investigation.
