KOHAT: A man killed his two sisters, a brother, and also tried to murder his mother over a property dispute in Naway Kallay area here on Saturday.

Ms Asia, who survived the attack, told the police that her son, Haider, had been demanding share in the family’s property after the second marriage of his father, Bahadar Khan, who was settled in Karachi with his second wife.

She said Haider came to the house and exchanged hot words with his sisters and a brother.

Then, she said he picked a Kalashnikov and opened fire on his brother, namely Salman, and sisters, Laila and Aleena, killing them on the spot.

The police registered an FIR into the triple murder under sections 302 and 324 of PPC.

The police said they had launched a search for arrest of the suspect.

Meanwhile, unknown motorcyclists lobbed a petrol bomb at the hujra of one Zulfiqar, also in Naway Kallay area, which exploded with a bang. However, no loss of life was reported.
