KARACHI, Dec 23: The administrator of Defence Housing Authority, Brig Maqsood Hussein, called on the City Nazim, Syed Mustafa Kamal, at his office here on Thursday.

They discussed various matter related to the uplift projects in the city and resolved that both the DHA and the city government would initiate joint efforts for the city’s uplift and to resolve citizens’ problems.

It was also decided that both the institutions would nominate their officials to coordinate on civic issues. These officials will discuss about civic problems on a daily basis and recommend the problems to the concerned authorities if they are needed to be resolved on a high-level.

On the occasion, Mr Kamal assured the DHA administrator of the city government’s cooperation with the authority.

He said that water shortage problem in DHA would be resolved to great extent after 100mgd extra water supply to the city from the K-III Project.

The nazim told the administrator that the city government had started revamping of water supply and sewerage lines which would improve water distribution.—PPI
