SWABI: Topi tehsil policecould not contain the transformer theft incidents as two more power transformers were stolen from different areas on Tuesday night, said the residents and officials of Peshawar Electric Supply Company here on Wednesday.

Thieves take down a 50kv transformer at night in Gulabad neighbourhood and collected coils from it, leaving the residents without power supply.

Another 50kv transformer was stolen from Gandaf Lar of Kotha area and the coils and oil were taken from it by unidentified thieves.

Nine transformers have already been stolen in the last three years in the limits of Topi police station.

When contacted, Pesco officials said they had registered separate FIRs in the two theft cases.
