DADU: Human bodies have started surfacing in Khairpur Nathan Shah as floodwaters, that had attained a height of up to 11 feet in some low-lying areas, receded in parts of the town and exposed some dry patches.

Police found the body of a man lying in a house in Shahbaz Colony on Sunday. It was floating in three-foot deep water, they said. He was identified as Dholan Chandio, a known businessman of the town. He was buried in a dried up portion of a bus stop surrounded by knee-deep floodwaters. It seemed that the man had died four-days ago, the police said.

KN Shah SHO Akbar Channa said that six bodies had so far surfaced within the jurisdiction of his police station over the last three days.
