Passengers kill driver

SIALKOT, Dec 18: A wagon driver was shot dead by three passengers over a fare dispute near Adda Begowala, Sambrial tehsil, here on Sunday. Reports said three people boarded a wagon from Sambrial. When the conductor demanded high fares, they became infuriated and opened fire, killing driver Shahbaz on the spot.

The accused fled while firing in the air.

Begowala police have registered a case and arrested two suspects.

Meanwhile, the local drivers, conductors and transporters observed a strike in protest against the murder, and demanded early arrest of the killers.
