RAWALPINDI: Two girls were raped in separate incidents in Naseerabad and Kallar Syedan, police said on Friday.

One of the victims, 7, was shifted to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) on Friday after her condition deteriorated as a result of trauma, said the investigating officer (IO).

The victim’s father informed police that his daughter was playing with her brother on the rooftop of her house when their neighbour took her to his house and raped her.

Police said a first information report (FIR) was registered and a search for the suspect had been launched.

“The culprit will be captured soon,” the IO said.

In the second incident, a young girl was allegedly raped by a member of her family, who had come to stay at her house in Qasimabad. The victim’s mother informed police about the incident and a case was registered.
