ISLAMABAD: A man was shot and injured during a robbery, while culprits looted cash and valuables and lifted a dozen vehicles from different areas, police said on Saturday.

In the first incident, a man was shot and injured by culprits during a robbery at Millat Colony, Tarnol, police said adding that the victim, identified as Maaz Khan sustained two bullet injuries in his legs during the incident.

A gang of robbers intercepted and held up Khan at gunpoint when he was going to buy some plumbing items on his Honda 125, they said, adding that the gunmen snatched the motorcycle and opened fire on him when he put up resistance.

In another incident a gang of five culprits raided an electronics shop of Jamal Din at Iqbal Town and held up workers at gunpoint, they said, adding that later they looted Rs35,0000 cash, a two mobile phones at gunpoint and escaped.

Moreover, some burglars broke into the house of Mohammad Adil Abbasi at G-9/2 and made off with Rs103,000 cash, a laptop, and other valuables, the police said. In a similar incident some burglars made off with Honda 125, two LCDs, and cash Rs48,000 cash from the house of Moin at Barma Town.

Likewise, some thieves looted cash Rs1.1 million and gold ornaments from the house of Syed Hassan Raza Rizvi in I-10/1, they added.

Meanwhile, two cars were stolen from G-11/2 and I-10, the police said, adding that nine motorcycles were taken away.
