MANSEHRA: Thirteen tourists sustained injuries in two road incidents that occurred in Kaghan valley here on Sunday, rescue officials said.

A vehicle carrying a tourist family from Dera Ismail Khan plunged into a ravine on the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road near Damgalla area, injuring nine people.

Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured people to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where six of them were admitted for treatment.

In another incident, which occurred on the Shogran Road, three tourists hailing from Karachi sustained injuries.

The Rescue 1122 teams shifted them to the Civil Hospital Balakot, where condition of all of them was stated to be out of danger.

The Rescue 1122 officials again warned the tourists to avoid rash driving from Mansehra onwards as dangerous curves on the roads in hilly areas could cause fatal accidents.
