KASUR: A security guard and a young woman were found shot dead in a private school’s building under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday, in Khara Chungi locality, in the limits of A-Division police station.

The police say they also found a pistol and a mobile phone lying near the bodies with bullet holes in their temples, when they reached the scene responding to a call on 15 helpline.

They say so far no one has contacted them to claim the bodies which have been moved to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy.

As per initial police inquiry, the security guard was identified as Ali Shan, 24, of Sheikh Ahmad village, while the woman was identified as Samina Bibi, 22, of Charaywan village who had been missing for couple of days. Her family had been looking for her on their own without informing the police, they added.

The police said as the school was closed for summer vacation, nobody noticed the woman was residing with the security guard there.

It is being investigated whether it is a case of suicide or double murder, a police official said, adding that it could also be “honour killing”.

The police collected samples of the bodies and sent them to forensic lab for analysis. The school’s building has been sealed to preserve evidences.

Meanwhile, IGP Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from Kasur police.
