BAHAWALPUR: A man attempted to rape a 10-year old boy at Mohallah Masoodabad in Lodhran on Wednesday.

Lodhran DPO’s PRO Imran Umar said a police constable’s nephew did not return home and the family went out in search near a factory. They found a man trying to rape the boy.

The Lodhran city police registered a case against the suspect under section 377 and arrested him.

FOOD STREET: A committee will set up a food street at the craft bazaar after its renovation, says DC Irfan Ali Kathia.

Chairing a meeting of the craft bazaar committee here on Wednesday, he directed the officials to complete the renovation work at the earliest to open it for a food street.

It will be the second food street in the city; the first one is functioning inside the historic Farid Gate.
