NAROWAL: Three passengers were killed and 11 others suffered injuries after a speeding dumper hit a passenger bus here on Thursday on Shakargarh Road.

Reports said a Shakargarh-bound bus was hit by a dumper from the rear side near Kake turn. As a result of which 13 passengers were seriously injured.

Rescue 1122 along with locals pulled the injured out of the bus. Three of the injured -- Masood Raza (45), Muhammad Idrees (31) and Shamshad Akhtar (45) -- were killed on the spot.

Eleven passengers, including Kaleem Abbas, Muhammad Nasir, Muhammad Shahbaz, Muhammad Tahir Shah, Irfan Ali and Abdul Rehman were injured in the accident.

Rescue 1122 provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to Narowal DHQ hospital.

Dr Muhammad Bilal of DHQ hospital said the injured were said to be stable. Health Chief Executive Officer Dr Khalid Javed said all the injured were being provided with free and best medical facilities at the hospital.
