SARGODHA: A man died and three other persons were injured in firing by two groups in front of the main entrance of the district courts on Thursday.

Two groups led by Azam and Shahnawaz of Chak 50-NB that had an old enmity appeared before the court in a case. When they came face to face in front of the main entrance, they opened indiscriminate firing on each other.

As result of the firing, Shafique, a pushcart vendor, died on the spot while three passers-by were injured seriously. The injured were shifted to the district hospital teaching hospital.

Policemen deputed on security arrested seven suspects, seized their weapons and handed them over to Cantonment police where the case was registered.
