BAHAWALPUR: Commissioner Raja Jahnagir Anwar has directed the Metropolitan Corporation and other related departments to make all the facilities available for the passengers at the general bus stand.

During his visit to the bus stand on Thursday, he noticed the missing facilities that the general public and travellers on inter-city routes faced.

Metropolitan Corporation Chief Officer Mian Azhar, Assistant Commissioner (General) Liquat Ali Gilani and Regional Transport Authority Secretary Farooq Qamar briefed the commissioner on the provision of facilities at the bus stand.

The commissioner directed the officials that the passengers should be provided with the maximum facilities in accordance with the law.

He directed the chief officer and the RTA secretary to prepare proposals for better facilities, assuring them his administration would extend all technical and financial support in this regard.

SELECTED: A girl student of Danish School, Hasilpur, has been selected for participation in the Pakistan’s junior netball team, which will participate in the international games starting in Singapore from June 27.

Muqaddas would be a part of the 11-member Pakistani team.

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathiya, along with Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry member Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar, gave Muqaddas a prize on her selection in the Pakistan squad.
