KARACHI, Dec 9: The reduction in water supply from Hub dam reservoir to North Karachi, Orangi and Baldia left major parts of these towns dry on Friday. According to area residents, they were not informed about any change in the schedule of water supply.

Earlier, there was daily supply of water but for the last few days the supply had been stopped without any announcement by the KWSB, they said.

The residents expressed their apprehension that if this was happening in the winter season, the worst could be expected in the next summer and urged the KWSB and city nazim to take immediate steps for meeting the shortage. They also appealed to the KWSB to announce the schedule of supply facilitating its consumers. —APP
