LAHORE: PML-N leaders Azma Bukhari and Talal Chaudhry have asked the judiciary how long the country will be left at the mercy of ‘mischievous’ followers of Imran Khan.

Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, they said the PML-N government had already been warning that the followers of Imran would set the federal capital ablaze but it bowed to the Supreme Court orders and allowed the PTI workers to enter Islamabad.

Immediately after entering the capital, they said, the workers set fire to a Metro station, several cars and auto-rickshaws as well as greenbelts in Islamabad. They said Imran had been repeatedly announcing his plan of going up to D-Chowk in Islamabad but the counsel for the PTI misled the apex court by apparently conceding to its orders that the workers would remain confined to H-9 Sector Park, and asked if Imran had the licence to kill anyone anywhere with impunity.

Ms Bukhari sarcastically said Imran had been giving Punjabi touch to music throughout his life but had now begun giving Islamic touch to his speeches, corruption and ‘Gogi’ touch to his party.
