LAHORE: The first phase of the conditioning camp set up for the national cricketers here at the National High Performance Centre (NHPC) ended on Tuesday, one day before its scheduled closure.
The first phase was to end on Wednesday and the second phase was to be held from May 26 to June 10. The new dates of the camp will be announced later.
The outstation players, who were attending the conditioning camp, left for their hometowns soon after the end of the practice match.
Meanwhile, the trials of Southern Punjab and Northern’s cities team which were to be held on Wednesday, have also been deferred indefinitely. Some changes in the trials for Sindh cities are also being made. Fresh dates in this regard will be announced later.
It is learnt that the PCB took the abovementioned decisions keeping in view the prevailing political situation in the country, which is developing as a result of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s long march announced for Wednesday.
