HYDERABAD: SAB editors suspended

HYDERABAD, Dec 8: Sindh Education Minister Dr Hameeda Khuhro has suspended the editor and joint editor of monthly magazine, Surteeon, for publishing some objectionable material in the magazine. The journal is published by the Sindh Adabi Board and Dr Khuhro is its chairperson.

She and education secretary Ghulam Ali Pasha took serious notice of some material in the November issue of the journal and suspended Ms Gulbadan Javed and Ms Najma Panhwar. The education secretary has appointed a high-level inquiry committee to look into the matter.—Bureau
