QUETTA: District and Sessions Judge of Kalat, Bashir Ahmed Badini, on Saturday handed down life imprisonment and a fine of Rs200,000 each to three convicts in a child murder case.
According to prosecution, Noman, Ehsanullah and Shoaib had killed the child in Kalat a year and a half ago after subjecting him to sexual assault. The body of the nine-year-old was recovered from a desert.
After the incident, the then SP of Kalat, Arbab Amjad Ali Khan Kasi, along with DSP Ghulam Hussain Bajoi, SHO Habibullah Nechari and other police officers conducted an operation and arrested the accused. The home minister announced a cash reward of Rs500,000 for the police team.
