DERA GHAZI KHAN: The district government has ensured the availability of water in border areas, including Taman Buzdar, Taman Qaisarani and Taman Khosa.

The departments taking part in water provision work are Dera Metropolitan Corporation, district council, PHA, Public Health Engineering Departments, tehsil councils, Koh-i-Sulaiman Development Authority, and irrigation departments besides some private individuals. Drinking water is being provided for the tribal people and their animals.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Salik said that the orders of the government are being followed through quick response. Focal Person to Political Assistant Muhammad Ikram Malik, Assistant Commissioner of Taunsa Muhammad Asad Chandia and staff of allied departments are engaged in public service. He said they would not allow any shortage of water in any part of the district. He said whenever a message of water shortage is received from any place, tankers are immediately dispatched to those areas. He said the points had also been set up in the tribal areas to supply water to the animals.

Also, fresh drinking water is also being provided to the citizens in Dera Ghazi Khan at wagon stands, markets, bazaars and public places.
