CHARSADDA: Three people were killed in a clash between two rival groups owing to old enmity in Prang police station limits here on Thursday.

According to the police report, the two parties opened fire on each other and as a result one Johar and his son Jalal of Abdur Rashid Korona area were killed from one side, while Wisal of the same village was killed from the other side.

Ghaffar Ali, son of Mohibullah of Faqirabad Majoki village, reported to Prang police that he was standing with his brother Johar and nephew Jalal when Badam Gul Nasir, Saleem Farooq and Wisal opened fire on them.

As a result, his brother and nephew got serious injuries and were taken to a hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries. He said the cause of the incident was an old enmity.

Alam Khan, uncle of deceased Wisal, lodged an FIR against Mukhtiar Ali, Ghaffar Ali and Jalal. He said they opened fire and killed his nephew.

The police registered cross-FIRs and have started investigations.
