LAKKI MARWAT: Gunmen killed a couple and injured their minor son after barging into their house in Nar Sultan Mehmood village of Lakki Marwat on Tuesday night, the police said on Wednesday.

They identified the victims as Farid Khan, 35, his wife, Shahzia Bibi, and injured Sufyan, 11.

The police said Naveed Khan, a brother of the deceased, told them that he found his brother and sister-in-law lying in a pool of blood when he reached their house after being informed by the locals. He said his family had no enmity with anyone.

The police shifted the bodies and the injured boy to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Naurang.

Later, they registered a case against the suspected attackers.

Separately, rivals killed a man over an enmity in Wanda Aurangzeb village of Kurrum Par area on Wednesday.

Police said the suspected killers – Waqar, Rehanullah and Kamran – escaped after killing Rafiullah, 22, near Alam Shahkhel Mor. They said the deceased and his cousin, Sanaullah, who remained unhurt in the attack, were going to Wanda Fateh Khan village.

Police shifted the body to the Government City Hospital for postmortem.
