GUJRAT: Two minor cousins were kidnapped by unidentified suspects near Chak Meeran bus stop in Karianwala police precincts of the district on Friday.

According to police reports, 12-year-old Muhammad Ali Iftikhar, a student of class VI, and his cousin, 150-year-old Nauman Nasir, a student of class IX, were going to their school on a motorcycle when a car intercepted them near the Chak Meeran bus stop of the village. Three car riders kidnapped both the boys at gunpoint and fled the scene.

Karianwala police registered a first information report (FIR) against unidentified suspects under Section 364 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the report of Ali’s father Iftikhar Ahmed.

Soon after the incident, Gujrat District Police Officer Umar Salamat directed the police to recover the kidnapped boys.
