Ramazan Mubarak! It’s the most exciting time of the year as far as I am concerned. It’s like a celebration each day, with everyone around an overflowing dining table, eating together which we don’t always do the rest of the year.

Since it’s also summer, drinks are a major part of the Iftar and Sehri spread, and today I am going to share a very simple, yet delicious recipe of strawberry and cream milkshake.

Fruits and milk are super foods that should be eaten in some form at both the start and end of the fast. And especially if you have a drink like this strawberry milkshake at Sehri, you will get a lot of energy throughout the hot day. Like with most drinks, you can always experiment with different ingredients and make changes to the recipe to suit your taste buds and the ingredients available.

The ingredients for this simple drink are also very easy to lay hands on and you may be already having them. So let’s check out what they are.

Ingredients:

• I/2 cup (approx), strawberries
• 1/2 cup cream
• 4 tablespoons red sherbet
• 1.5 cups milk
• Ice cubes

Wash strawberries very well and remove strawberry stems. In a blender jug, add all the ingredients except ice cubes and blend well until smooth and fluffy. This recipe is enough for two servings, so take two glasses, add ice cubes and pour in the milkshake mixture and enjoy.

You can modify the taste to add bananas, nuts, chocolate syrup, ice cream, etc. I feel that keeping it this simple at Sehri or Iftar makes this drink easy to enjoy and digest.
