LAKKI MARWAT: Two boys were killed when a speeding car struck them near Kinger Bridge Road in Bannu on Sunday.

Police and witnesses identified the victims as Anaf Khan, 18, and his cousin, Bakht Niaz, saying they died on spot.

They said that the car driver fled the place and the bodies were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

The Mandan police said that a case had been registered against the unknown car driver on the complaint of Mohammad Yasir, an uncle of the deceased.

Meanwhile, three people were killed and another was injured in separate firing incidents in parts of Bannu on Sunday.

Police said suspects, namely Zubair, Farman and Asif shot dead Rahibullah, 30, over a trivial issue in Walinoor Janikhel area.

They said that Irfanullah, a brother of the deceased, was wounded in the attack.

The police said that the killers escaped the scene and the body and the injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.

Separately, Bakht Ali Jan, 60, was killed by his rivals over an old enmity in Narmikhel Bakkakhel locality. The police said that the body was handed over to relatives after fulfilling medico-legal formalities in the DHQ hospital.

The suspected attackers, including Sher Nawaz and Zer Mohammad, escaped the area after the incident.

In another shooting incident, unidentified men shot dead Matiullah, 24, a resident of Lakki Marwat, on the Branch Road in Bazaar Ahmad Khan locality.

The police registered separate cases under relevant sections of law.
